A View from the driver’s seat

For the last 20-plus years, I have spent a great deal of time in the driver’s seat traveling by car between New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Long Island, New York while building this company.  I have logged over 1 million miles and earned more than my 10,000 hours to become an expert behind the wheel.

Spending such a large amount of time on the highways and byways of the greater New York Metropolitan Area has given me major insight into traffic flow, signage, visibility, pavements, and vehicular and pedestrian safety. It provided knowledge that delivers competitive advantages in the traffic safety industry. I understand traffic and roadway safety from the perspective of a high-mileage driver and having grown up in the municipal supply world, I understand the industry and manufacturing side. As a result, Glenco has become a regional leader in traffic safety and municipal supply products with a loyal customer base that continues to grow.

As 2025 begins, we look ahead to what we can expect in the coming year and make some resolutions for our company:

Solar Technology

We see solar technology continuing to improve and become more prevalent in all aspects of our industry.  As solar energy becomes more accepted, we can continue to reduce our reliance on the power grid. Glenco has always embraced innovation and new technology, and our position on solar is no exception. Our products enable green energy while ensuring top quality and reliable performance. This is good for the planet, for municipal budgets, and for public safety. With that in mind, we resolve to continue to embrace renewable energy and new technology while ensuring that our products and services perform at the highest levels.

The International Front

On the international front, we are watching and waiting to see what will happen with possible import tariffs and the potential effect on our cost of goods.  We source many raw materials and products from India, China, and Canada as well other countries and these will be impacted if tariffs are imposed. We resolve to make prudent decisions about our inventory, and work with customers for accurate quoting, forecasting, and purchasing.

Industry Prices

Current industry prices are very stable and the only commodity that we have to watch is the aluminum market.  The price of aluminum fluctuates regularly, but we have a very secure outlook for the next six to nine months. In the coming year, we resolve to monitor commodity markets for strategic sourcing and optimal value.

I am thankful for our customers who have worked with Glenco in the past and continue to partner with us for their municipal supply needs.

If you are new to Glenco, or if you have not done business with us yet, I look forward to the opportunity to work with you. Our excellent customer service and speedy order delivery differentiate us from the competition.

We resolve to work as hard as possible to make sure that you have what you need when you need it.  We always go the extra mile (or, in my case, 1 million miles!) to ensure that our customers are served quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

We understand how busy people are and we resolve to make doing business with Glenco easy; contact us via phone, email, website or text and know that you will get an answer from me or one of our sales reps in a timely manner.

We resolve to continue delivering on the big things: quality, service, specification and innovation…but we will never lose sight of the little things:  returning a phone call, treating everyone with courtesy, giving orders of all sizes the same great service.

If you need municipal supply and traffic safety products, Glenco Supply will deliver for you!
